FLOW OF HOPE
The chance to make a future
The goal of our organization is to fund projects in Kenya that support education, promote sustainability, and provide food and shelter to those in need.
Our projects.
Education
What started with an education for five street boys in the town of Mai Maiihu has expanded to a robust program supporting the education of twenty four students ranging from elementary school to college.
Roots of Hope (Preschool and Kindergarten) opened in 2018 and anticipates expanding to include first grade in the coming year. Check back for updates.
Widows & Orphans
Many widowed grandmothers in the eastern Rift Valley communities are the sole providers and caretakers of their orphaned grandchildren. Flow of Hope helps their efforts with a monthly food program and a sustainable community garden. Orange, avocado and mango trees were planted in 2015 and solar lights were installed in 2016.
Thread of Hope
Thread of Hope is a sewing school which provides students the opportunity to learn pattern making and sewing skills. The program goal is to help provide a new breadwinner for their families.
Completed Projects
A new home for Veronica on the Rift Valley Floor; a new restroom building for Muti Elementary School in Thika and a well pump in Magena are just a few of the small yet vital ways that Flow of Hope is trying to make a difference.
